Your role

Are you passionate about data and analytics? Do you have a curious nature, always interested in how to innovate? We’re looking for someone like that to help us:
  • design, develop, document, and maintain software components using an Agile process
  • work closely with business users and analyze business requirements
  • work with global support teams to resolve high priority defects quickly
  • liaise with release management teams to deploy changes and ensure production stability
  • collaborate with Infrastructure Services and CTO teams to introduce new technology and infrastructure as required
  • analyze and understand business and technical stories, writing code, contributing to release and iteration planning and developing the working practices of the team

Your team

You’ll be working in the Research Quant IT team within Evidence Lab, in London. We are a small team using agile development methods and collaborating closely with the Research Quant analysts globally to support their needs. You'll be working in a global team, with colleagues in India and the United Kingdom.

Your expertise

  • excellent Python skills.
  • in-depth knowledge of Pandas, NumPy
  • experience developing Micro Services, RESTful APIs
  • exposure to Cloud (Azure) and Big Data technologies
  • strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesizing skills
  • test automation experience
  • Linux
  • CI/CD
  • a solid mix of infrastructure, engineering, and developer experience. Be equally comfortable building infrastructure environments for the business teams to use as you are with developing application code
  • experience of working in software development teams using agile methods

You are:
  • able to improve older code bases, as well as apply modern best practices to new projects
  • curious and collaborative, comfortable working independently, as well as in a team
  • adaptable, able to work across teams and functions
  • a strong communicator – able to interface with key business and technology stakeholders
  • keen to automate: testing, deployment, CI/CD, anything, everything
